Thermal Recuperative Oxidizers — Direct-Fired VOC Destruction

WK’s thermal recuperative oxidizer is a direct-fired TNV system engineered for reliable, continuous VOC destruction and industrial exhaust treatment across surface coating, automotive, pharmaceutical and general industrial applications. Delivering up to 99.9% destruction efficiency, the recuperative oxidizer recovers heat through a metallic heat exchanger. This design produces a robust system well suited to applications where exhaust composition, concentration or contaminant characteristics make a recuperative approach preferable to regenerative operation.

WK has been delivering thermal recuperative oxidizers since 1972 and the TNV remains a core system in the product portfolio for surface coating, automotive, pharmaceutical and general industrial applications worldwide.

Performance Parameters

  • Combustion chamber temperature: typically 750–900°C
  • Destruction efficiency: up to 99.9%+ dependent on temperature, residence time and contaminant
  • Thermal recovery via recuperator: configurable based on heat exchanger sizing
  • Additional process heat recovery: available via secondary heat exchanger, steam, hot water or thermal oil
  • Fuel options: natural gas, LPG, electric, waste liquid co-firing
  • Exhaust volume range: systems engineered from small-scale to high-volume industrial applications
